What's your budget?

Going 8GB instead of 2x4GB will leave you 3 slots for future upgrades. If you fill them with 4GB sticks you'll be limited to 16GB vs 32GB with 8GB sticks(you can mix capacities but its not recommended). If for whatever reason the 8GB sticks cost a lot more then just go with the 2x4's.

budget is 1k

Does v-sync not work in Devil May Cry? I have it enabled and this shyt is hitting 400+ fps in the cutscenes, gameplay is between 140-280fps.

make sure it's running fullscreen, and not in a boarderless window at your native res. I had that issue with Portal 2, and it took me awhile to figure it out

I think you're better off doing what you can to get a better gpu. the 650 is basically a budget card that's not really for serious gaming. save up and/or cut costs to get a gtx 660 or AMD equivalent

look at the difference between the 650 and 660

:to: Why my card so cheap brehs?? 550Ti looking weak as fukk on that list. fukk it I'm about to buy another graphics card right now. I'm going to sell mines.
It works nice in games but seeing this chart made me realize I should've researched before I bought it.

They see me trolling, they hating.....
if you're playing cracked games, I'm sure you can copy files into a folder :comeon:

you have to do it once per game, not a big deal. if you want something easier, use an actual xbox controller :aicmon:

I tried both files on that site and neither made it work

The A button on the dualshock 2 isn't "X" like it is when I have Dualshock 3 plugged in.

Instead I have to press Circle when I would normally press A/X on a 360 controller/PS3

Theres gotta be some way to make the default windows buttons align with the 360 setup because the pad works on these games without any programs or firmware, the buttons are just mixed up tho

help me :why:

in the zip file there's some .dll files that you copy into the game folder (whichever folder has the executable) (and keep them so you can use them again). after that it should think the dual shock is a xbox controller. I use something similar with my logitech controller

(also make sure the controller is plugged in before you start the game)

the game has to support it (xbox controller) in the first place. if it doesn't, you'll have to bind the buttons and such

Ok, so I found that it does support the controller...

Is there a way for you to do this without the Xbox turning on when the Xbox button is pressed?

What kind of Xbox controller are you using? If its wireless you need the receiver.

ahhh fuk, makin me feel like a bum here.:wtb:
is the 660 good enuff tho? would it last me a few years ?

personally i wouldn't buy anything less than a GTX 670. you can overclock a GTX 670 and get 680 level performance but looking back at it i could have afforded a 680 or at least a 670 FTW and i cheaped out and got a reference 670 and now i regret it.

a 670 is pushing $400 maybe with a mail-in-rebate its $340 a 680 is pushing $450-$500 depending.

if i were buying now i'd get a 7950 or 7970 and get the free Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider.

that's not really "support", but rather a workaround with 3rd party software

not sure about your other issue, but it sounds funny. I guess you have the wireless adapter for the pc. I would think you would have to 'sync' the controller to one or the other, but I never messed with it

I'm not familiar with the overseas markets breh. You are better off registering over on overclock.net or similar and asking the question there. You can also save a gang of money buy shopping in their market place.
