I want to update my graphics card drivers.

What's a good program to clean and/or remove drivers? I had one on my old PC but I can't remember the name of it.

what card do you have?
Nvidia has Geforce so i use that to update my drivers.

GTX 960.

I know where to get the drivers, I'm more concerned with a program to clean the old ones out and remove them. Unless you cats are just :manny: and uninstalling drivers then installing the new ones directly after.

Gforce gives you the option to do a clean install, so yes...you can wipe your shyt clean and have a fresh install.

It's better to do it manually through add remove programs and then use something like clean sweeper to clean up registry entries left behind....

Otherwise you just hoping the person/company that created whatever driver removal software you are using knows what they are doing...I've had some bad experiences with them so I don't bother anymore...

Also if you get an nvidia card you need to be aware of the dreaded windows file repository combined with geforce experience from nvidia that installs repository folders in several places that will reinstall the most recent version of your video card driver if you remove the current driver...if you don't catch it early it can become MADDENING

So if you download driver 3....update to driver 4...then remove driver 4 to clean install dirver 5...windows and/or geforce experience will notice driver 4 is gone and then auto install driver 3 if it is still on your machine...

It happened to me last year when I built my gaming rig...shyt was :yeah ok:...I had my pc disconnected from the internet AND in safe mode and it would still auto install a driver after I removed it:yeah ok:...Spent about 2 hours researching the net and hunting down folders...

Installing drivers on top of drivers has come a long way though...my wife just updates her gaming rig through geforce experience and has never had a problem that ended up being a driver issue...but i been gaming on pc back when that was a complete no no and i guess it just sort of stuck with me

Like Spliz said, look up DDU if you're looking to do a clean install of video drivers. It's pretty much the go to app for that.
