it's pretty easy if your case has a space behind the mobo to run wires

I know that pain. :mjcry:I made my PC in 12' and it was my first time making it too. I told myself, I'd work on some basic shyt to get experience and go back inside to fix it all up.

Ain't a damn thing change in my PC.

with windows 10 shytting the bed again (2 reinstalls in 1 day)

I think its time to start building a new computer (even though im sure its windows 10 related not hardware related).

since I knew I had to reinstall, I took the time today to take apart my computer, rewire what I could (best cable management job ive ever done in a computer :leon: I think I can do those nice cable management pictures if the case was smaller (its a very large case, some wires just arent long enough to extend through the loops to where they need to be)

I can turn this computer into the streaming computer I was talking about @2gunsup - so a dedicated streaming computer (all it does is take the CPU load from streaming off the main gaming computer, which is like a 50-60% hit to FPS in games :sadcam: )

so my streaming computer would be

i7-3770k
128 GB SSD
16 GB RAM
Z77A-G45 motherboard

pretty damn good for a dedicated streaming computer :leon:

I would take the 970 GTX out and put it in the new computer

so what im looking for is;

-old GPU - 970 GTX
-new processor - $300 (ima look into the i7-5820k more, unless someone has a better gaming solution for around $300. I pretty much only game and browse websites but I do need my comptuer to run games at a great setting with high FPS)
-new monitors - $170-200 x 2 (looking at these 144hz acer monitors that everyone says are great :leon: and better option than BenQ for gaming)
-16 gb ram - $150 or whatever
-keeping my 3 TB HDD from my old computer but want a new SSD since you can find 500 GB ones for what I got my 128 GB one years ago for :leon:
-new motherboard, my last motherboard was $170, the one before that $200.. but I cant tell the difference between those and a $100-120 motherboard so ima do that (I dont really SLI, which is why I bought the more expensive ones in the first place cause I thought I was going to and they were both 16x x 16x pci-e slots)
-new psu - $100
-new case but smaller, probably medium sized one this time - $100

total: $1300 or so.. what ima do is buy a part or two a week and slowly build it. I am real impatient and can be impulsive when buying electronics so this will help with patience and also by time im done itll be kind of a christmas present to my self kinda deal :manny:

what happened exactly?

yesterday it crashed then it wouldnt go past the "Welcome" screen at login.

then today, it had the same symptons of when it crashed yesterday and nothing would load. So if I turned on my computer and tried to open Chrome, it would say not responding until my computer crashed.

sounds like a hardware issue. I had similar symptoms with a faulty SATA cable

im thinking maybe its my SSD, its such a high temp compared to my other HD
HDD/SDD or the memory would be my guess. run checks on those

I thought that was gonna be my issue, but it turned out to be the SATA cable. check your disk usage in the task manager. the 'red flag' for me was the drive was consistently at 100% usage when it was fukking up. I guess it was trying to communicate with that drive, but failing, and just waiting for it to respond
