Damn I thought I took a huge L trying to play Arkham Knight on a 770. I guess I'm relieved that I'm not the only one having issues.

The temptation to buy this on PS4 is hard to subdue (bought the premium edition for only $36).

I thought when you SLI it basically takes on the characteristics of the lowest card?

if you set up a true SLI with 2 different cards then the lower card will hold back the higher one.
but you can set the lower card to only handle Physx while the better card does what it has to do with everything else.

i'm new to this so i'm learning and posting as i go.

When you buy a new video card that is different from your current video card, usually you have two options: sell the old video card or leave it collecting dust inside a closet. If your old and new video cards use an NVIDIA graphics processor, a third option is available: install and configure the old video card as a dedicated PhysX processor. Let’s see how this is done.

it's definitely a PR disaster. thing is I'm sure they knew about some of this this before launch, but they didn't say shyt. they could have said something like The Evil Within devs, like "the game is locked to 30fps. you can unlock it, but we do not recommend it." sure, people wouldn't be happy about that either, but I don't think it would be as bad as the mess they're in now

Problem im having now is I dont have any spare 8 and 6 pin connectors. Lost my psu box while moving...
gpu's usually come with those molex converters, if you still have the stuff that came with your gpu...

I've thought about using a second gpu for physx. but I would need a more powerful psu, and it doesn't seem worth it for the few games that actually use physx

idk, I never used them. a lot of sli peeps must use them, since a lot of psu's don't have 4 6/8 pin connections
