Corsiar H60 should of bought the higher end smfh i thought it didnt make a difference
The H60 is more for GPU cooling (my friend has one on his 290x)

I say put the H60 on your 290x (you may need to buy an additional part), and buy an h80i, h90, or h100i (if you want extreme overclocking) for your CPU

@Ciggavelli So is the Fury X not worth getting? My friend claims its a good card but I'm looking at the price and comparing it to the gtx 980ti like :patrice:.

I don't have a 1440p or 4k monitor. I have a 1080p 144hz monitor. Right now I have a R9 280x and its fine but I notice in some of the newer games the fans are turning on a lot more than usual. I'm thinking about upgrading my card but I'm trying to find something that suits my needs. I just want to play at 1080p at a constant 60fps.

The 980ti is better than the Fury X according to many benchmarks, but they're similar

But 1080p 60fps can be had with a 970. You don't need to spend double for the 980ti if you're only gaming at 1080p/60fps. Now that the 1080s and 1070s are coming out, you can get a 970 for even cheaper too. You might wanna wait for the 1070 in June if you want to be a bit more future proof (it supposedly has 980ti equivalent performance). But if you need something right now, get the 970. It's more than adequate for 1080p/60fps. All the new cards are about VR, 1440p, and 4K. If you aren't doing those things (and don't plan to anytime soon), then there is no reason to pay extra.

Thanks for the info. I'm not in a hurry to buy a card right now. Its just going to be my main upgrade this year. I will probably wait and get the 1070 in June.

Do you know when EVGA will release their version of the 1070? I'm kind of wary about the cooling and power consumption on the 1070 founder's edition cards.

Nah, it's still up in the air. All I know is that sites are saying June. I think the 1070 will be a good choice for you. You should be able to hit 1080p/144fps in some games even (which would utilize your monitor well). The 980ti/TitanX is a beast. With the 1070 supposedly having equivalent performance; it's makes the most sense.

my 970 FTW+ edition handles everything at 1080p without a problem.
i don't see myself getting into 4k or VR anytime soon so i'm gonna ride 970 until then.

Only 30 bucks
Devastator - LED Gaming Keyboard and Mouse Combo Bundle (Blue Edition

Didn't post direct link cause I am using amazon app to order while I am at a restaurant lol
Spend $80 and get a mechanical keyboard. We off normal keyboards:huhldup:

Dat clicky clacky life :win:

Edit: Also spend $80 and get you a good mouse. The higher the DPI the better in my book. My mouse moves so fast across my screen :wow: It takes some time to get used to high DPI mice, but they are so much more accurate once you get your wrist game down. :wow:

In the PC world, we're all about our expensive peripherals :manny:
