Way too hot and power hungry. Unless you're liquid cooling both of them, I say it's not worth it. Your cards will get hot as hell. You're better off getting a newer card

I was just researching when the 1080s go on sale, and apparently pre-orders already happened and sold out in 6 minutes. I thought they were going on sale on the 27th 
I even setup an nvidia alert on their website to let me know when I could buy them. I guess they fukked me
Unless nvidia has a magic stock available on the 27th, it looks like no 1080s for me

Question brehs how do I transfer my OS to my SD drive?
I called nvidia and they ensured me that they'll be selling on the 27th. I asked at what time, and they said they didn't know, but I'd receive an email before then. Hopefully I can grab some from nvidia.com on Friday
you're gonna have to clone your current drive. some SSD's come with software to do that
it's really better to just do a fresh install though

you sure you wanna pay $100 more for the cards with the stock coolers though? Might be better to wait on the custom solutions. The only ones available tomorrow are the Founders Editions.
I need the stock coolers for sli. The air blows out the back with reference cards, but blows in the case with aftermarket coolers. That makes the case and bottom card too hot. I already made that mistake once before with sli-ing my 780tis on my old build
Maybe a slight overclock already applied to the non-reference cards and different fans
