Just so it's noted: I give all my tech shyt to my brother. We got that strong brother shyt. He won't appreciate it (he has a 720p tv still ), but he deserves it. I just want it noted in case I die. Dying I'll deal with it in my next life

How are AMD CPUs? I feel like there's no reason to get one, but I haven't actually looked into it too much. Back when I was building a PC (over a year ago) it seemed like they weren't that great and you weren't saving much money.

I'm asking because a friend is pricing his potential build and keeps leaning towards AMD.

Edit: Could someone school me on AMD vs. Nvidia video cards too?

I had AMD fx 8350 (mind you it wasnt for gaming, it was for a program i used to run) I ran 20 clients (Botted on a game for $$ ) at 100% usage.

Anyways, I eventually was told to upgrade to an i7 and the cost difference of $200 was like but holy fukk was it worth it

I was only at 50% usage with 20 clients, AND the shyt ran cooler on a stock cpu cooler

Not saying go spend $200 extra, but basically just go with intel, you won't regret it.

So far my total is $1300 and im gonna cop:

Intel i5-7600k
EVGA 1080 gpu
EVGA 850 gold standard psu
Z170 pro gaming MB(still open about this as i want a motherboard that has bluetooth so i can link my xbox controllers)

Corsair hydro 100i water cooler

Azza full tower pc case.





I already have ram and hard drive. Gonna give my amd build with the gtx 970 to my moms. Shes rocking windows 98 pc
