Yeah, I nearly took down Micro Center, :sadcam: Them coupons had went viral. It was a wrap once someone took em and posted them on slickdeals. One of their reps had signed up to the forum and reported the thread talking about I was photoshopping the coupons which I was not.

I upgraded my 570s to 580s during that time for like 40 bucks after I sold em and MIR's came through.
Thank you for that I saw the deal posted on Neogaf and jumped on it. I got the last two 3GB ones they had and after the 20% off and mail in rebate it saved me a ton of money. I actually have a decent business idea if you're interested I'll pm you with it.

Yo I just got a nice deal at Microcenter. Found a 1TB internal Sata hard drive 7200RPM Toshiba for $55.

:ooh: I was worried it might not work since it was open box and it formatted fine and I bought a 2 year warranty for 6 bucks with it just in case. :stylin:

I'm always looking through their open box inventory online for the store near me. Found a couple good deals that way. I myself need another 3TB, :sadcam:

Do you have a Micro Center nearby and what do you plan on doing with it?

Closest micro center is 45 mins away. But i can take time out to go there if need be.

This will be a gaming computer for the most part. I had a friend of mine quote me on this. Said it was a little less then 600 (Obviously this doesn't include windows or montior)

Sapphire Radeon 7850, AMD Phenom 2 x4 955, G.Skill Ripjaws 8gb, ASRock 970 Extreme 2, Kingston HyperX 2k SSD 120gb, Samsung Optical Drive, Rosewill Challenger/500W PSU combo. Should come out to be just over 600.

Can anyone confirm this? 120gb is way too little for me so im def gonna have to get something bigger.

Man Idk something must be wrong with my setup.

My rig was just built less than 3 weeks ago and my CPU temp is showing 79C on HWmonitor while playing Far Cry 3. I'm using an aftermarket cooler from my old rig from back in 08 with Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste.

The fans seem to be running and I cleaned them prior to putting it in. Idling though my temps are in the 30-40's. Once the other day the PC just restarted on me while playing Far cry 3 but my CPU was OC'd to like 4.2ghz from stock 3.6GHZ.

It's an FX4100 AMD CPU and I read about how people got their stock CPU and Fan up to 4.6GHZ but mines isn't stable and I tried messing with the voltages and I just left it alone at 4.2 since I was satisfied with my performance. I know I put the thermal paste on but IDK if the fan is maybe old and doesn't perform as good as the stock fan?

Which aftermarket cooler do you have? Also what are your ambient temps?

I don't remember the name but it was some Thermal Take cooler T something it fitted AM2 slot and fits my current AM3+ CPU.

These are my temps right now.

Try setting your CPU voltage core to 1.3V. I'd also reseat the heatsink with a better paste. AC5 isn't top dog these days anymore. Make sure you use 100% rubbing alcohol to clean the paste from the CPU and the heatsink. MX-4 works great. Be sure to use the pea method when applying paste too.
