It is a service like Xbox Live but you buy your games through the software. You have Friends list, message boards, achievements, etc....

What makes it popular in my opinion is the prices are unbeatable they have major sells which are great and a wide variety of games.

Nah it's free breh. You just pay for games. And shyt on Steam regularly goes on sale. Some of the sales they have...

there's also free games and demo's on Steam. they'll also let you play games for a 'free weekend' from time-to-time. sometimes it's actually the newest COD and such

@ $5 each it appears to be a great deal with decent reviews. Steam is required as I know some people on here will only buy steam games
