not gonna lie arma 2 itself is not that fun..i got the package because of DayZ..now that DayZ is about to go stand alone..i realy don';t see a point to get Arma 3 : /...unless someone starts a persistent faction based guerilla warfare mod

that's pretty much the 'wasteland' mod. they just need to tack on the 'persistence'

Arma's all about the mods. all those other DayZ maps (Namalsk, Taviana, etc) were maps the community made for Arma 2. Namalsk actually has this whole 'stalker' campaign that goes with it ("Namalsk Crisis"). I also bought Arma 2 for DayZ, but it's just been the gift that keeps on giving. there's so much potential there, and I know that same community is there for Arma 3. and I know all that piff's gonna be poppin up, and I'm not gonna be able to resist

I'm also psyched for the DayZ standalone, but they've said in so many words that that game won't be open for modding (at least at first). honestly they need to hurry up and get that standalone out, because right now I guarantee a bunch of cats are already busy trying to make their DayZ clone mod for Arma 3. the standalone should be better than whatever they can make, but it still clutters the market for them

I'll definitely say that Arma 3 ain't for everybody, especially now in alpha when it's guaranteed to have many issues. but I think I might have some of those lite invites soon

man developers who let their players mod their games is really smart...why should you create content when you can have others do it for free and if you see really good talent you can always hire them since they already have first hand experience on creating content for the game..like skyrim PC and skyrim consoles are two totally different experiences due to the modding community

like seriously breh..the modders are doing a better job then the developpers

the single player is decent. multiplayer is dead and has no dedicated servers

tryna run this blackbox DMC joint I got off a torrent but my PC keeps crashing


Game runs the intro and crashes before the game starts

Running with an I-7, 8gb, GTX 680... I'm assuming its the game tho?
