Yea I'm getting the 7950 most likely. I'm keeping Bioshock Infinite though I wanted that.

I'll give you Crysis 3 for $25.

I'm getting a 1080P TV later this year. Right now I'm playing in the bedroom on a 720P TV and I'd rather get a new card because I wouldn't be able to crank out 60fps on high-ultra settings @ 1080P right now with a 550TI anyway. Plus I can downsample to 720P from 1080P or 1440P(Via VGA). Also I hear there's a bios upgrade for the 7950 that ups the memory clock speed.

Try to find one that's not voltage locked. Some of them 7950s can reach the same OC ceiling 7970s have.

i don't even really want Crysis all that much i want Bioshock and its cheaper to buy one of those codes than to buy the game itself. game is $60 but codes are going for $45.

personally i wouldn't buy a new graphics card till i got the new TV because in all honesty on a 720p set the added benefit of having a better card won't really be that noticeable.

real talk, get a 1080p monitor

anyway, that offer nvidia has now is kinda weak too. fukk $150 for some wack ass free-2-play games :childplease:

and yeah, the 7950 is closer to the 660ti in price and performance

Nvidia's Never Play Bundle, :russ:

Fortunately I was able to sell that weak shyt for $40 on Ebay though, :whew:

There's a facebook deal which I think is still active for Crysis 3 for $30.

Nah I think it will be. On my TV when I set a game to 1080 or higher I can clearly see how much sharper the image gets despite my set only being 720p. The added framerate boost, and increased visual fidelity due to more settings being on high/ultra rather than what it was before is quite enticing. I'm looking at TressFX, tesselation, post processing and shadows to be a walk in the park here.

it's 2013 breh. throw that analog vga in the bushes
To be honest, I can't see a big difference between analog VGA and HDMI. I went through them back and forth and I just said I'd rather keep the VGA since I can play some games at 1080P downscaled to 720P. Plus a new TV is much more expensive right now than a 7950 I believe.

That must look disgusting, :scusthov:
Do yourself a favor and get yourself a real monitor ASAP.
Lol nah it looks rather nice. Monitors aren't a viable option for me right now as I'm in a bedroom and I'm not trying to clutter my room up with lots of shyt.

I don't have anywhere to place a monitor in my room without moving stuff around and getting a table and then I wouldn't be able to enjoy my surround sound as then the speaker positioning wouldn't align with the monitor's location. I'll get a 1080P tv in a few months or so.

Lol. Does 1080P downscaled to 720P count??

I wouldn't want Infinte to come out and I gotta uncheck a few graphical options and keep resolutions down.

I went with the 7950 on @Liquid recommendations and its been excellent so far.
no Physx kinda sucks though.
What games do you play require physx? I think Physx is dying off as TressFX and other effects are coming that are open.
