brehs, my desktop PC keeps shutting off, it can't be overheating.. my guess is it's a power supply issue. It started off by shutting down whenever I would play a video game but now it just shuts off for no reason, even after just turning it on.
It could be a bad cpu cooler... that would def cause it to shut off open ur pc remove the cooler and sat a fan by the cpu if it comes on and stays on for awhile then its the cooler gone out.. if not that it could be a power issue.

unless you perform some heavy cpu tasks AND your cpu is not very powerful, youll only be able to tell a difference (and by that I mean >5 fps) by overclocking a pretty damn good amount :manny:
That's true but in most cases when using amd their cpu's even on the high end tend to bottle neck high end gpus, where as that's not a real issue with intel.. Their stock i5 out preforms the 8350 even when over clocked.

agreed. AMD in general is just lagging behind. and if you get something like 3570k, you can oc it heavy with a good motherboard.

the thing is by the time 3570k becomes an actual bottleneck, chances are you already get another system at that point :manny:

I actually read that ivybridge is still better than haswell for gaming like purposes. in general the response to haswell is kinda lukewarm among enthusiasts. i got a 3570k for this new system myself, shyt is flying even on really cpu intensive games.
