You should go with the latest Intel motherboards. You can get a motherboard + current ultra core 7 265k + ram for around $450 at microcenter.

That will work with your current 2070 super and handle an Nvidia upgrade.

Yeah, that's it. I think a Microcenter employee will install it for you if you are unsure. I know they help people build their PCs, so just ask when you go to one of their locations.

I didn't even know that! May need to reent a car or uber to Yonkers as it's closest to me.

Might also update this post/reply as I need to see if I need to increase the wattage (power supply) which I hope does not require a whole new case!

Well, I'll qualify this and say I didn't need the express service and I think they have a cheaper option but they put together all the parts I picked out and this was their Express ProBuild Custom PC Build Service - $249.00 (same day service if u get the order in 4hrs before they close which I did not )

I'm disappointed cuz I would have picked a cheaper option for slower service so make sure to ask about that if you go this route.

I’ve had my 4K oled monitor for a little under a year now and it’s been beautiful but I don’t like the performance loss for 4K. Gonna go back to 1440p when this comes out.

My PC keeps changing the input to mouse and keyboard while im gaming with the controller.

The mouse will appear on top of the game with the loading symbol next to it then i have to click the screen again with the mouse for my controller to work.

RN im playing 2k and this makes it almost unplayable

tried turning off the keyboard, mouse and 2nd screen but it still happens.

Disable the Steam Desktop Configuration in Steam's settings or exit Steam completely before launching the game

Might be a terrible idea but bought the i7 bundle yous suggested as well as a cooler and updated power supply+warranty on the bundle ($818 total). Will try and do it myself.

It usually is just a simple chip exchange depending on whether Intel/AMD change their socket types for their newer generation of processors.

You were on pretty old system, so you'll definitely see the upgrade when it's all installed.

My niece turned 21. All she wanted from me was a new smaller computer case and some sativa blunts. I got her the Lian Li 011D Mini V2 case, 1000w Lian Li power supply, Thermalright 360mm AIO and some knockoff lian li fans as well.

Yea...tried it and messed up some pins on the mpbo.
Took it back, got store credit and will pay more to have it rebuilt with newer specs

After this, back to laptops for me. Especially since HMDIs are no longer needed to share on the big screen
