you saw this on TPU?

36b.jpg

saw it on neogaf. same pic though. they also had a newegg search result link that listed prices, but now that I look again they've all been changed to $9999.99

seems legit and like newegg goofed, but we'll have to wait and see I guess

X-Com Enemy Unknown is having a free weekend on Steam. it a great game if you haven't tried it. "Retrovirus" and "Sol Survivor" as well, but I'm not sure what those games are all about

It's apparently on par with the Titan.

Titan is overpriced. These GPUs are highly overpriced but I understand that it's a niche market and they need to make up for costs of research and production.

I think that R280X price is perfect and the original $500-$560 value that was floating around was perfect for the 290/290x

I think i'll grab an 880 when it eventually drops next year and upgrade every 2 years or so. I can keep returning my old card with that Microcenter warranty to offset the cost of a new one:steviej:

as is the 780, and it's around $650

I feel like they're a little late with their "titan killer". especially with Maxwell probably coming soon

nvidia-roadmap.jpg

People fail to realize how close the 780 and Titan really are. Not until you unlock the voltage on both cards and overclock do you see the Titan break away.

In addition I don't think they have a GK110 killer on their hands since AMD is pretty cray with the marketing when they have the upper hand. The fact that they aren't releasing reviews/gaming benchmarks until the 15th and will begin taking preorders some time today is a bit fishy to me. You would think they'd be going on about their dominance if they had that fatality. We'll see on the 15th I guess,

Edit:

Anyone else going to try out XCOM Enemy Unknown this weekend? Downloading it now.

Hey BioShock 2 fans!

In August, the Games For Windows LIVE service marketplace closed and some of you wondered what would happen to BioShock 2 on PC. We remain committed to supporting BioShock 2 on PC and are excited to announce that starting today the game is available via Steam. Not only that, but the Steam version of BioShock 2 includes all available multiplayer downloadable content, as well as the single player “Protector Trials” DLC!

With the help of our friends at Digital Extremes, BioShock 2 on Steam fully supports popular features of the platform, including controller compatibility, Steam achievements, and Big Picture mode. Matchmaking is easier than ever now, allowing you to search for “any game,” as opposed to having to select your game mode. Leveling up is also quicker and easier, as we’ve fine-tuned the multiplayer experience to be better than ever.

If you have already purchased BioShock 2 through a different digital partner, we’ve got you covered. Simply take the same game activation key you already own and “activate” it within Steam. Doing this will grant you access to BioShock 2, all of its multiplayer and Protector Trials DLC, as well as Minerva’s Den – the single player story-driven add-on that includes new weapons, enemies, and plasmids!

For more information on BioShock 2 on Steam, you can visit: http://2kgam.es/bioshock2steam

Controller support, Steamworks multiplayer, no GFWL, no SecuROM, Steam achievements work...and those who have a retail key can use it on Steam to get Bioshock 2+All DLC's including the much praised Minerva's Den. Also, everyone who bought it on Steam pre Steamworks patch gets all DLC.

Looks like Bioshock 2 finally got rid of GFWL. Think I'll finally give it a go.

Edit: Steam just downloaded a 3.3GB update for the game. Believe most of it was all of the DLC's.

Can you run the dolphin emulator on a relatively weak machine?
Dolphin is more CPU demanding so I'd say anything post 2011 can play games relatively well. My old rig that featured a AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800(CPU from 2008) and DDR2 RAM used to play Dolphin alright. As long as you have a modern CPU and a good GPU to accompany that, you can crank out some beautiful wii games on your PC.
