Even though this is possibly the WORST time for anyone to be looking at PC/GPU parts at this time, can any point me towards the current day console equivalent of GPU's on the market so I can have some idea as to what I should be looking at when I say that I want to potentially build a PC that's MORE powerful than said consoles?

Series X is 6700XT level and PS5 is 6700 non XT level. Purely based on tflops rating.

Is what I found on Reddit, but as I'm going through the string of comments, people are arguing, tossing off other numbers/specs and I'm getting one of those underwater headachces, the shyt is so confusing at the moment. Cause the GPU arms race is rather intimidating to a breh who never really followed/gave a shyt about that stuff until now.
Consoles and PCs are apples to oranges. Consoles do more with less because of smaller OSes, assembly level programming, easier optimization, and other factors.

I feel you on this (pause) but as a man not knowing much about the current cards out, I just wanna know what's the ground floor for me, cards wise with my ultimate goal being to build a device that's more powerful than whatever current consoles can generate.
Like I shouldn't be getting/looking at anything less than a 4200 AMD Chipset Amoled whatever the fukk, know what I'm saying, technical ignorance aside.
Like for instance, I don't think current consoles do 4K or whatever is above that currently. My shyt needs to be able to do that or atleast mimic the ability to do that if pushed.

I would set a resolution and frame target on the game(s) you're most interested in and work from there. Or, if you can, buy the best you can afford and ride it out until games outgrow the hardware.

Will go that route, thanks. Ain't worth it being blunt and going for the overkill, 'cause I also have to factor in that the more expensive the card I cop, the more I pay getting the hardware to work around/with it to utilize it's full potential.

A lot of that shyt is overkill. Most of the time those specs are for FPS competitive games. I had a 2080ti with a 1440p monitor up until last year and I was able to play every game I wanted in 1440. Sometimes you have to turn the graphics or tweak the display settings for games like cyberpunk. But all in all don’t over think it. Focus on getting a I9 or equivalent and atleast 24gb of ram (I know that’s like buying a new car now but still)

Never heard of this brand :ohhh: they good?
It depends. Their premium models like the one i just bought is great. FSP are an oem manufacturer. They make power supplies for other brands such as be quiet, cooler master, enermax etc.

Most power supplies are made from these manufacturer: Seasonic, Super Flower, CWT, FSP and Delta.

Seasonic mainly does their own but use to make Corsair power supplies 10+ years ago.

Super flower makes EVGA power supplies like the G2/P2/T2 series.

CWT makes most of Corsair and thermal take power supplies.

FSP i explained above.

Delta - my favorite oem - use to make Antec power supplies. They dont really make psus for regular consumers anymore. They pretty much dominate the prosumer business server establishments.

Yes, Its only slightly shorter. Seasonic is probably the most recognizeable psu maker. Think of them as the toyota of power supplies. Very reputable and dependable. CWT probably makes the most power supplies for a gang of brands. Just get something that is at least 80+ gold rating.

Brehs. Best Widescreen set Gaming monitor out there? It would simplify things for me because I could also use it for work as a 'dual screen' setup in a widescreen form

Samsung and LG have some good monitors.

What resolution do you want? 1440p? 4k? 1080P?

Do you want built in audio for the monitors? Asking because if you're a headphone user or use a set of separate speakers could save money buying a screen without built in speakers.

Flat or curved widescreen?

If you play a lot of first person online shooters you want a screen with a high refresh rate and if you're more into single player games and work task the refresh rate isn't as important.
