Thanks for ur suggestion fam...I went wit the Sapphire Toxic 280x..shyt is supposed to be a beast..Putting the order in for the 290X brehs
Can't beat that price per dollar. Mantle API, TrueAudio.
Will wait to see the non-reference cards and will possible add an after-market cooler (first time that I will be doing that).

I'll likely upgrade to that new AMD GPU. Hard to beat that performace for such a low price. Altough my current GPU (Nvidia 680) is still amazing.

I'd wait until we see the non reference cards. They will probably have better coolers. At least I hope.

Hell yea..they said its hands down the best 280x...only one close is the Asus Matrix...but this sapphire 280x could hang in with a 780..Good card from what I read.

Anybody game on big HDTVs with their PC? (like 50 to 70inches)
I don't know when I'll do it, but I'm thinking about throwing my PC that I put together downstairs in the mancave with my other consoles.
Just have to see if I want to just get a laptop for photo editing stuff or build another PC for the office.

They said it's within sniffing distance of a reference 780..the 780 is faster at stock..but the price difference between the 2 cards makes up for the extra speed of the 780...it's def faster than the 770 tho..and at that price point it's bugged out to get a card that sits between a 770 and 780..

I game on my 50" inch panosonic in my living room with big picture mode and xbox controller. works pretty well since i can launch steam from xbmc. if i wanna play RTS's i can use the laptop. only problem ive found is that in one game (deus ex human revolution) the text is too small.. but i might be missing some setting i have to fix.

I do. It's great for everything except FPS, RTS.
i havent tried it yet but why is it bad for FPS?
