No.
Generations pertain to console releases. PC's don't really have generations.

gaming laptops are a gimmick and or useless IMO

for the same budget for a decently suited "gaming laptop" ..... you can build a real decent rig with leftover cash

i dont want to plant myself in one chair in one room breh. thats the whole point. i wanna play shyt while my wife watches tv and im not isolated from my family. i wanna game a little while im taking a shyt or layin in bed. im not looking for a top tier rig, just something that will play newer games at a decent clip. i mostly play older shyt anyways but i wanna have that capability to play a BF4 as well.

I used to have an alienware laptop (m11x) and liked it a lot (it was for mobile gaming on the road). Those new ones are getting great reviews (the alienware 14 might be your best bet). You could spend 1100 on the lower tier version of that.

shyt's a G and is pretty much everything you want. It can play crysis 3 on low and I'm sure battlefield 4 on low too. But don't go expecting ps4 type graphics

Exactly. Gaming laptops are a joke. You wanna game on the go get a 3DS or Vita. For the cost of one gaming laptop you could likely build two PCs that can run games decently and put them in different rooms. Nobody takes shyts long enough to get any gaming done on a toilet nor is it gonna be comfortable anyway.
