Mostly because they are easily compatible with Mac OS X for hackintosh builds. you guys are slowly floating into NERD territory. I think all those extra expensive boards are mostly for dikk measuring...if a budget is involved its more important to dial it down a bit with the MOBO (Maybe down to $150-$200) and allocate the rest of the funds towards a better gpu, ssd, ram, and everything else IMO.All those benchmarkers and testers always use this shyt:
