The Pelicans have repeatedly stressed to Zion that his diet and conditioning need to improve. Zion, multiple team sources have told, "doesn't listen"

Vets matter but whose to say that Zion wouldn't still have those weight issues even if a vet was on the roster tell him otherwise? It's just like posters saying that moving Zion to a new city would help his weight issues like there isn't food in other cities.

We are talking about weight issues that involve happenings off the court when vets aren't around and deep rooted issues that vets aren't equipped to solve.

It’s literally absolving Zion of personal accountability when people do it. Zion is well aware that he’s overweight and doesn’t need a vet tell him that.
It’s not absolving Zion. It’s what good organizations do. They keep vets within the organizations as guidance. Derrick Coleman always talks about Buck Williams moving on hurt him at a time he didnt realize what his guidance meant to him.

Good organizations always have vets in place to be that presence.

It is absolving Zion of personal accountability because he’s well aware that he’s overweight and shouldn’t need anyone to motivate him or tell him that. You realize it on a daily basis.

If he does, then it speaks to how shytty his work ethic and self awareness is and I’d say the same for Barkley as well.

No it isn’t. You just don’t understand how good organizations work. That goes from sports to corporate America, you name it.

Good organizations keep that as a failsafe.

Vets matter.

Part of the reason why shyt is so reckless in the streets now is that young scammers are getting the money at once was only reserved for old heads. The old head
used to school young Homies on how to get money.. Now if these kids are getting money already, who are you gonna listen to? Everyone is not built the same. Some kids need veteran leader ship. I know I did or I would’ve been in the league myself.

Some of us only knew how to work to get there but not how to manage ourselves once there. He may be one of those dudes
Vets do matter & Zion has had those.

So now who’s to blame?

It’s not about “assigning blame.” I know that’s the culture we are in but it’s also about having assets that are there to provide help. It’s a factor they in a lot of teamsnDon’t have that.

Ok I get that. So you believe N.O hasn’t provided the assets to help him?

As others have pointed out they’ve brought vets in. Other employees to help him eat better. What else do you think they should be doing?

What should Zion be doing to contribute? A part of me does think it’s more to it than him just not caring. Something either mentally or physically is contributing
