THIS THREAD IS MAINLY FOR BLACK MEN ONLY.

PART TWO SPIN

Before I start this thread I know there's a mental health thread, but I want this topic on one thing and that's us. Listen, the Black women on here have LSA and The Salon. So, most of us brothas just want to discuss this without the thread being derailed.

Anyway, most of us Black men (I mean African-American men) don't have a support system. We have to put on a faux-masculine persona. Because if we don't our manhood comes into question. I suffer from depression and feel down most of the time. I'll be honest besides working I use this site as a journal at times. However, most of us brothas do. You may never know what a person is going through. Us Black men have been sh-tted on and token as a joke. In the media we are either vilified or punked out. So, I get why we have to put on a fauz-masculine persona. The main ones who are neglected are young Black boys. If they grew up in the slums and come from a one parent homes chances are that they will have it harder.

Why did I make this thread? Because in society roadblocks are made just for our failure. The oligarchs want Blacks in prison or dead in the USA. They don't want TRUE rehabilitation of Black men. It's easier to exploit Blacks because the home is so broken here in America.

I want to say that I'm here for my brehs who go through certain things. I'll admit tat sometimes I try to joke on here because I'm hiding my cry and sorrow. As a Black man I'm terrified of failing and becoming a stat. In some ways other brothas are also scared. That's all I had to say. Even though I'm going back to school and taking an apprenticeship soon I'll still face hurdles. Other brothas faith has been taken. We don't even know ourselves. Because we haven't looked in the mirror closely as Black men.

My point is that this needs to be discussed on a bigger scale. Black men are also human and have emotions. Anyway, peace I'm about to go to work.

One more thing, most of us are at the becking call on pleasing White people. We have been broken down mentally and spiritually. THIS is why I stand with Brotha Kaepernick and others who are fighting for the African plight.

Nobody wants to let the black men be actual victims

When a black man asks for support and understanding It’s always “man up and shut up cuz your trash or your a white person of the black community so you can’t complain” on one end or “shut up ngger” on the white society end.

So then we are left to ignore it and have it fukk up our psyche

Can we stop this 'when r we gonna talk' 'we never talk' stuff? :dahell: we talk abt everything DAMN.
To be honest, we talk about everything that's not crossing the line. Talking about depression on a major scale in the Black community (Black man) is taboo. I suffer from it and won't lie. I've had negative thoughts (won't go into detail). We need to discuss this more. I don't care if a thread was made back in the day. We do redos all the time. This and many other things concerning Black males needs to be touched on. Remember, we are human also.

EXACTLY and that mentality hasn't helped us. We need to bring these issues about Black men with depression to the forefront.

I promise you, if health care wasn't so expensive we'd use it more
