I'm not saying he didn't deserve that pass. But last year was a buffer. After "The Letter", and the Homecoming event he held for the kids, and Cleveland going 6games against an all-time great team in The Finals, he got a pass. Going into that Finals series no one thought Cleveland would win, and the pressure wasn't on LBJ to win wasn't anywhere near Miami levels in which they expected Miami to win every year, no excuses. Going into The Finals vs GS, who last year thought Cleveland had to win it? Who proclaimed win-or-bust? Everyone including LBJ knew GS was the better/healthier team. The way things are going now, this year might be a return back to the Miami levels of pressure. The media's even getting chippy with him again, and David Blatt's become the media darling that everyone feels sorry for. Last year LBJ was commended and given props for following his heart by going back to Cleveland and for basically curving Riley. I bet you those are probably the same folks who are now like "LBJ needs a Riley to hold him accountable for playing lazy", "He has too much power". Fact of the matter is, last year he only had Heat fans really hating him, while everyone kinda encamped themselves around him. This year, he has all of Israel hating him, while the organization is feeling the pressure from GS.
