-lack of musicianship. you can make funky/groovy music with synths but nikkas stuck on trap shyt. scared to mix it up

-negative effects of integration. too much cac influence. even the good shyt feels like it trying to appeal to cac hipsters

Plain and simple, Gen-Z and Millenial producers didn't have church upbringing musically and that is what has crippled R&B....

Now it literally is chopping up 90s samples and adding some Trap drums with a horrible out of key vocalist sounding like they are having a stroke when they sing...

Producers have no musical understanding, no Devante Swing, Teddy Riley, Timbaland, Babyface, Stevie Wonder...

Metro Boomin? Ha ha ha....

R&B is in horrible shape today....Only dude that even brings a level of groove is B Mars, he is at least trying.....
