I think that we can start by us being leaders in our own communities (not just households), i think that would be a lot more effective than us designating someone to be the leader(s) of the black community.
We need to take our places as the leaders. The majority of the businesses in our own communities are owned by non black men, who hook their brother, cousin, wife, daughter, friends,etc up with jobs. And pass down the business to their kids. You'd be surprised how many black men see nothing abnormal/wrong about us not even controlling things in our OWN communities., not having any business to pass down to our kids, etc
As a whole we don't have power or clout, our focus should be more ownership.
We should be able to employ our own people, our women and children shouldn't have to go to our oppressors for jobs/resources.
We don't need more figureheads and symbolism, we need to actually lead.
