If any of you were honest, the PS5 didn’t live up to the stan hype.

Don’t mean it’s a bad system, but the console warz some of you built your gaming life on, just didn’t hit the same this gen.

The guy in the OP was very much involved in that hype. I’ve seen his videos posted here plenty of times being extremely positive, optimistic and supportive of PS5.

He’s looking back at his own videos and hype and realizing that it didn’t really live up to the hype he sold.

I know none of the sony cult here would ever admit it, but dudes video ain’t wrong :manny:

There really wasn't any crazy hype around the Xbox for the general public.

But the overall hype Xbox fans had lives up, I'm guessing the people that was hype for the Xbox are still enjoying it.

This generation of Xbox never hinted at anything other than what it was, meanwhile the PS5 "believe's in generations" while the Xbox told folks that cross generation would be well into the generation.

That was a huge talking point the 1st 2 years. VRR, the Xbox natively improving on games that playstation was selling at full hd remastered prices, "game boost" and adding games in batches for backwards compatibility.

Meanwhile the closest thing the PS5 would do to any of that was improved load times.

Being able to enjoy the last gen release of cyberpunk on console because of VRR and the series X power was amazing. Meanwhile PlayStation was handing out refunds.
