Why are you rewriting history, cac? Most all soul music's purveyors have been black. Soul music is an historically African American music fashioned from African American gospel music, jazz and blues. Its early adopters were all black including Sam Cooke. My family used to only listen to Soul music. Cacs don't have any footprint in soul. Cac's footprint in anything related is in rock and metal.
