Honestly that's not very hard. Of course the singles on PPP are far superior and it has a few cuts but on the whole it was an uninspiring retread. C5 switches things up a little and was more consistent sound wise but the club tracks do him no favours. I feel like he peaked with Ready.

:beli: the only club tracks are "bytches and drinks" and "Hail Mary" and they serve their purpose

There are quite a few songs that are different from the Songz formula on Ch.5

PPP was rushed and it was a good follow up to Ready, but it's not better then Ch.5

I feel like dude peaked with Anticipation, that mixtape is a classic and should've been the album.....it's been all down hill since then.....

Nah they were completely unnecessary. They didn't even help much with crossover. Some R&B singers can pull that kind of thing off but Trey really isn't one of em.

PPP was weak I don't want Ready to be his creative peak but its starting to look that way. The incorporation of soft rock in C5 is definitely an interesting development but if he goes too far in that direction he'll alienate his fanbase.

Pretty much but with all that behind him he gets a fresh slate. He can pretty much go in whichever direction he pleases plus he's still pretty young.

I didn't say it was comprehensive. still got a lot of backlog from last year and I haven't got around to it yet. Can't list it if I haven't heard it. :manny:

He has the benefit of prominence and has more or less stuck to his guns but Chapter 5 was not up to par.

kind of feel the same way bout chapter 5 i really didnt like it so i didnt buy and though PPP was superior with

didnt help any when he dropped dive in and usher dropped his dive and usher dive got acclaimed reviews for his version which i thought shytted on trey songs version

sure trey's got more spins on radio doesnt mean its better

trey needs to stick with the formula he used on ready primarily and PPP i think thats his lane and it works best both damn good albums imo

Completely agree about Trey.

Also Luke James is most definitely the truth. Most powerful falsetto I've heard in decades.

C5 is a decent album, it actually made me a Trey Songz fan. Since then I have checked out his body of work, I can tell he definitely switched it up. His other music was more romantic, love making. C5 seems to lack that. Those Anticipation mix tapes were heat:whoo:

Justin Timberlake has dropped the best R&B album this year
