Spec ops don't make calls on when to go in on a situation like this specifically so they have somebody to yank the chain. It's trumps, Bannon, and the joint cheifs job to halt suspect missions. Those are the people who give special operations commands their orders. The buck stops with them.

If Spec ops had free reign they would be more reminiscent of the CIA than a military force. It's not even their section that select targets. That's not spec ops responsibility
No its not trump bannon or top chain to stop a suspected mission, its spec opss command that is supposed to stop these mission that are questionable before they even make it up to final approval.

Spec opss has extremely free reign compared to what they used to have, and the CIA has freer reign than it did in the early 90s coming off the free for all of the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

Special Operations has its own command structure, specifically for this problem

Breh right above special operations command on that chart is secdef. And who above him? Donald. He signed off on this shyt. Unlike other commands that are given fairly general directives specs ops does specifics.Spec ops don't have free operational reign where are you getting this.:hhh:

And Like I said earlier Special Forces doesn't get all their own Intel. The fact that they got bad Intel in this situation isn't their fault.

And special ops commands has a four star who signed off on this, then gave it to the secdef, who gave it to trump. The buck stops with him. He signed off on a suspect mission so he could brag about a political win.:scust:

How does not killing your target in Yemen help America. How is killing civilians in a country fighting the Saudis helping the homeland.

What you don't seem to understand about the breakdown is that everything is getting filtered as it moves up. Things need to be tight and ready in presentation before it leaves your team, let alone be reviewed by Navy command, let alone before navy command sends it up, let along before things are sent to secdef, and to the president.

This mission and the previous mission in somalia where the navy command authorized a insertion to with terrible intel shows me that command structure is lose with regard to special operations, they need better intelligence vetting, and from the article that came out about how they discipline (navy seals) their troops who hacked people with axes, and murdered unarmed people and tried to cover it up I'd say its all but confirmed at this point.

Moving up the chain of approval the intel should have been vetted before it was moved up. Again if you are at the top, if I'm the president, everyone in command that allowed this to even make its way up to me needs to be removed from duty and replaced with someone competent. Ideally socom needs to be disbanded entirely along with a decrease in US military presence but that is another discussion entirely.

You seemed to have taken a different tone regarding Benghazi.

What was my tone regarding Benghazi, go ahead and post it.
you put out that it's not trump it's us article. The overall tone of your article was to hold Obama and in some ways Clinton as responsible for the rise of Trump based on their actions and interventions.

It's not whether the article was correct in whether it led to Trump, but you rightfully attributed the success of the military, our missions, policy, and attacks to POTUS because it's his administration and the buck stops there.

Here however, you appear to be making the point that Trump should not be held to this same standard of responsibility.

If the command is flawed, it's on him to fix it as Commander in Chief before signing off on actions with flawed Intel.
