Jacoby's a high-tier back-up at best. He was always a conservative passer, but that knee injury last season really dampened things when it came to stepping into throws and taking those deep shots down field...which at many times I thought he seemed afraid to do regardless, pre and post injury.

Rivers has past familiarity with Reich and the OC back in San Diego, so there's already a comfort level there that wasn't with Jacoby. I can already see the :mjpls:coming, but it's easy to figure why we moved on from him.
Phillip rivers is a turnover machine with water pistol arm. Can't move at all and a horrible decision maker.he has had some of the best offensive weapons surround over his career only to win nothing.

The colts won't make the playoffs under him and will turn into the chargers by the end of the year . always in shootouts because he puts them behind and has to try to throw them back into games.

Brissett 27 mill as a back up:dwillhuh:
How the fukk jacoby get that wow

Colts panicked when Luck retired. They always had belief that Brissett was the best backup in the league and a capable starter, so they gave him a nice deal to show confidence in him.
Then after he did poorly last year, they replaced him with Philip fukking Rivers and still kept him because they still like him as a backup and not like anyone trading for him.

Indy is probably still paying Luck too.

I don't think anybody was disputing that here. Rivers is a well-known turnover machine, but he can still make those home run plays at times. Our playcalling had to be adapted last season due to Jacoby's limitations because of this. That's a no-no.

Jacoby's a safe QB. Yet safe to the point where you're fukking begging him to throw the ball downfield.

Nobody is expecting Rivers to ball out like Peyton or Luck here. He doesn't need to. The running game and defense is good enough that he'll only need to make the occasional big plays a game. Week 2 is exactly how he should play. With his style of play and at his age, you just got to take the good with the bad. Colts FO knew exactly what they signed up for.

I would say Brock Ozweiller and Kirk Cousins fuked up the market. Hell Houston gave a pick to Browns just to get rid of Ozweiller. QB market been fuked up since.

I know when Dak gets paid....my boys ain't winning shyt (not that we won shyt with Romo).

Mahomes the only QB who is truly worth his money.

High key, there shouldn't be a salary cap and there should be no franchise tag. Sure the salaries would balloon, but it's ridiculous how there's no true open market for franchise qbs.

It'd be dope to see Kyler Murray as a true FA on some NBA shyt

Ppl keep saying this. Nobody was saying the market was overinflated until it was time for Dak to get paid, and now all the market evaluations/manipulations want to happen.

Dak needs to get paid. Traditionally when a QBs Dallas Cowboys qbs puts up great numbers, they get paid. PERIOD. Why all the fukking debate? What makes him different from Romo? Aikman? Danny White? They all put the team in their back and got unquestionably paid and trusted with the future of the franchise.

Jerry Jones working the media or something.

Dak is similar to Aikman in terms of how he deals with the Jones family. He's cool with them but keeps them at arms length to an extent. Jerry and his wife have 3 kids but Romo was like his new, youngest 4th kid. Dak respects him but I don't see the Prescott family going on family vacations with Jones family aboard their big azz yacht.
