Yeahhhhhh you can eat like Goldberg if you're young and have a fast metabolism. And you make sure that you lift at least 2-3 times a week.

I have never really had trouble gaining weight but I've never wanted to really be too big and bulky so I lift maybe once or twice a week and the rest is straight cardio (HIIT and Steady State) and calisthenics, etc.
But then again ol boy is a part timer and you only get tested if you're a full timer so...yeah, take what he's saying and understand that everyone's body is different.
Also yes you can eat junk food to gain but be smart about it...there are extra calories in there but if you don't workout you're just gonna get fat.
Extra Calories = Extra Fuel = Extra Fat if you don't burn that fuel
