Name 5 rappers who were on the top of the rap game on some humble bytch nikka shyt and didnt feel like they were #1

And thats when people started rooting against them and hoping they'd lose.

The only lovable people in hip hop that never pissed off anyone that was remotely close to the top were those that were still humble and stayed their lane which is hard to do when ur the top dude.

But look at how nyggas wanted 50 cent to lose .. ja rule ...

where did u get your facts from? When u say "ppl", did u walk in the streets of the 50 states and do an actual survey? When did your opinion become the "ppl's" opinion? I read your breakdown of what u claim is a "so called problem" with kendrick and dont co sign. Your claim doesnt speak for me.

one person cant speak for everyone but you damn well make threads speakin for all of NYC and hip-hop so how does that work

Oh and for those who ADHD prevented from reading the paragraphs above:
In summary: Kendrick Biggest Problem is this perceived Ego that everyone now suddenly is noticing. He need 2 chill to keep progressing.

if you that rutgers DJ nikka i dont even fck wit u but i agree with everytin u wrote. humility is a mother and only the best know how to equate success with content

i wasnt talkin about blogs im talkin about your posts on websites.

i have seen you speak on many topics and give history lessons and mostly all of them spoke for NYC

as far as your "style" i dont want to talk about that because its just gonna go back to that ghostface thing.

NO King gains his throne "peacefully". You have to go to war, take that shyt, and write your legacy in blood. In recorded history there have been Sons who murdered their own fathers, Uncles, and brothers over the right to the throne. Hip Hop is no different, a humble leader will be seen as a weak leader at some point and another MC will come for blood. You don't have to be 50 Cent and diss the entire industry but you DO have to let it be known that you are ready and willing to lyrically snatch souls from bodies. EVERY top tier MC has at one time proclaimed themselves the best and had to battle for that title, whether it be directly or subliminally. This is part of Hip Hop and Kendrick understands that, he even went out of his way to extend an olive branch of sorts to his competition and let them know how ill he thinks they are. Can you IMAGINE Nas or Jay-Z or Wu-Tang extending olive branches to rappers back in the day that they felt were competition? Life long relationships were ended over Hip Hop competition. Nas and Biggie had a brief falling out. Ghost and Rae dissed Biggie while Biggie was showing love to the Wu having Meth on his first album and trying to get production from RZA. Jay-Z, Ja, and DMX couldn't record an album together because all three of their egos wouldn't allow it. Nas and Mega engaged in a lyrical battle for the better part of a decade and they GREW UP together. Hip Hop both builds and destroys, dynasties are built from the street corner straight up to the offices of label conglomerates....

It's One life, One love, so there can only be ONE King....

If you are talking about the casual listener and people that are not "hip hop heads" i agree. But for everyone that have followed Kendricks progress and been listening to him we knew he was always considered him self as a top MC and was aiming at the top.
Just check http://www.thecoli.com/threads/i-think-im-2pac-b-i-g-eazy-e-big-l-o-d-b-kendrick-lamar.153524/
What do you think he was saying on Rigamortus? I would not call Rigamortus humble. Kendrick just have the aura of humbleness. The good kid. People that have problems with him putting himself on the top have other problems than that he was "supposed to be" humble.

Yep, he let it be known way back

2005-

2009-

listen to him

fast forward 2013

alot people dont realize this set up the control verse and it was subliminal to the person who made no lies. and a shot a kanye for crying about his number 7 postion.

Imo the same nikkas who got a problem sayin he aint humble etc are the same nikkas who cant handle they friends beatin em in video games while talkin shyt.

All rappers talked shyt in the sport of lyricism, kid n play went at each other almost every song, rakim wasnt battle talk shyt on records, hell half the rappers some these nikkas gotin their top 5 were flashier and did way more stuff , from pac to biggie.

Another thing is that the smart rappers do not stake their claim until they've actually proven it. Nas, Biggie, Ghostface, Pac, Jay-Z, etc. all of them waited until after their debut albums proved their talent and worthiness to make their claim. Kendrick as a student of the game is simply following the blueprint. His debut album went PLATINUM in a year where only ONE other rap album went plat and that was Nicki Minaj's Roman Reloaded. He garnered incredible accolades and praise, all rightfully deserved. Does he NOT have the right to stake his claim?
