Kendrick Lamar has always had this side to him so I don't know why it's such a surprise to people that he's braggadocios. Rigamortis is a whole song of him talking about bodying everyone's favourite rappers, his verse on Black Lip b*stard is extremely braggadocios as well. Both of these examples were before GKMC and that's just off the top of my head. He also scoffed at the idea of being labelled a conscious rapper on Ignorance Is Bliss and that was back on OD.
we gonna ignore the fact that all the old school rappers were constantly going at eachothers necks trying to prove they were the better emcee? that shyt is the essence of hip-hop, king kendrick is trying to remove the bytchassness from these fakkit ass rappers like Drake.

Seriously how good have these "new" rappers been that he named? The majority of rap fans will tell you this new breed been borderline ass cheeks for the most part so what is wrong wit Kendrick puttin them nikkaz on blast and telling them to step they shyt up? I could bet 75% of the nikkaz here have said the same, I would bet that YOU have said "damn most of this shyt is mediocre". I'm not sayin you have to like what dude is saying but you can't discount it either because rap been garbage for a while.

Can't agree on that,because really as of right now I don't think people who liked him to begin with see his actions as a "problem".
He was getting a lot of hate after GMKC dropped and got all the acclaim it did.....alotta people think dude is overated and gkmc is overated
If the sales and acclaim are greater than what people think you deserve the hate will come....pretty much every succesful new nikka has gotten it bcuz a large demographic of 90's nikkas will never think these guys are "great" in comparison to what we came up on.
Only place I can see you making a good point when it comes to humblenes,is the fact peoplewho was od'ing on the hate came off as crazy and haters bcuz he was in that humble category.....now that he's stepped out on that limb and overated HIMSELF,those who were hating don't look so crazy trying to put him back in his place....and the "its not his fault if people are overating him" excuse no longer works for his defenders.
But all in all I think he's more popular than ever,with that comes more people who will think he's overated.....the poeple going out of there way to tell everybody how overated they think he is will just come with the territory.

My problem is he is being crowned King when he hasnt EARNED that position. Yea he got an ok album and some sales to match it but he aint the only rapper that can claim that. Plus lyrically yall gassing this nikka.......like seriously yall try and make it seem like this nikka is out of space with this shyt when he aint. Hes not bad by any stretch but he aint on no Lupe Gold Watch/Dumb it Down type level. So what exactly is he the king of again?...

I have no problem with him, he dropped one of the best albums of the past 5 years and he is bringing back competition... I can only give props to this man.

Get mad at it if u want but greats of this sht always sell...The Bigs LL's Pac's all sold well because of their greatness..but not everyone who sells is great tho i admit..but ayye..if ur going platinum for a long period of time it not only shows consistency for u as an artist but it shows you have the talent to make music that ur fanbase does not got tired of..Its a testament to ur skill as an MC
