Imagine a black man owning a Chinese restaueant in China Town, or selling bagels in a Jewish area, or having a bakery in little Italy

exactly. These foreigners especially Arabs are so brazen in their exploitation. They'll rap cd's and ghetto t-shirts in there stores as if they're mocking our culture. I've seen so many black people fall for it hook and line. I'm not saying all foreigners have an exploitative mindset but the majority of them do.
We cannot forget about these fake preachers who pull up in their expensive cars while the surrounding community in which their church reside looks like a dump.

Fair post, but it isn't a new revelation, breh. Everybody else eating and have generational blueprints for how they are gonna get theirs. We, on the other hand, live for the moment and have a problem of glorifying such behavior. Till we increase our economic prowess, we will remain in a sort of servitude.
exactly, they're coming from intact patriarchies where all they have to do is maintain their businesses and structure. blacks on the other hand, are starting out from scratch every single generation. but we're supposed to some how compete with the asian or arab that's running his father/grandfathers business. shyt is unrealistic.

Make our own, before I buy food from any west Indian place I ask who the owner is, if its a Asian I'm like :ehh: and don't come back

i agree but the businesses need to be replaced with something first. if blacks stopped patronizing these foreign business owners, then what, where do we go for anything?

we gotta stop pretending that black americans have the same amount of resources, wealth and business know how. almost all of us were raised to be consumers, very few of us raised to be business owners. once that changes, maybe we'll see some progress.

W-w-w-wait a minute...

so Black women respect "these pulpit preachers" who "we much rather patronize" (arguable), but they don't respect Black men?
Aren't they black?

They don't respect average everyday brothers. We should be the defenders of our community and should call out anyone who exploits it, whether they are black or white.

There is an easy solution to that problem but y'all don't wanna take it there......

Women respect money and power.

Get one, both or the other.

I'll always have a dome because I know brazillian jiujitau. It's just human nature. Pretty things gravitate to what can best protect them.

If people stopped going to sun Wong for the 2.99 special and sue Kim to buy hair and relaxer and Ahmed to buy liquor and chocolate they would die out.

Dumb ass thugs need to be ratted on and locked up
maybe if the protective custody programs were taken more serious this wouldn't be a nationwide epidemic.

word to randy wagstaff.

you live in canada, there's not a plethora of "west indian" places over here in the states

and even if there were, i'm still focused on black american business ownership first.

1. Those pulpit preachers are average everyday brothers...and we need to quit acting like they aren't.
2. We don't have a "community". We're out her fending for ourselves.

I agree with this. But what are we doing to call out these pulpit preachers? That is the main point here. How can we sit idly by when this kind of exploitation takes place. And what will it take to revive the community since we don't have one?

Give it about 25-30yrs and I think you will see young blacks compete with the foreigners for businesses in the community. As long as they see (or are taught by their parents) that the opportunity is there when they get older they will take advantage of it and capitalize.

Right now we have some 20-40ish who are going the entrepreneurial route, even if its something small like selling clothes on IG, personal training, or photography. Once the game is told, it will be put to work.
