Your comparing cities (NY/LA) statistics to state statistics breh .... the question would be asked now is the crime mostly in red counties or blue counties ?

Example Cali ain't a dangerous state overall but Oakland, Fresno, and Stockton are the most violent cities in the country

Crime is in all the counties, but surprisingly it might be worse in some of those red counties for the same reason it is worse in red states which is because there are fewer people and therefore the result are skewed even if done per capita even though there may be less acts of violence overall. So if Skeeter goes off his nut and pops his whole family including his wife/sister in Wayout County then that is going to skew the numbers for that county.

Basically wherever you have people + drugs/alcohol + guns + attitude problem then there is going to be some violence. That applies everywhere.

But there is a whole lot of violence and underreported homicides in those little backwater towns. Don't be fooled into thinking that those are bastions of safety.
