Here's the truth of the matter... and I'm hoping someone can help me with this:
The refs messed up by not calling the foul on Barnes. It seems the out of bounds call on LAC was some sort of a make up. They can't review a foul call, only last touch. So the ref probably looked at the replay, saw this missed call and tried to do what was "just". Or the logic could have been, Barnes' swipe caused the ball to go out of bounds, only the swipe hit the arm, not the ball as originally thought, but either way the swipe caused it to go out so if he hit the ball it would have been off Barnes. That part I get.
BUT... the question is, and this is what I need help with... Did the Clips have any fouls to give? Because if they were in the penalty, that would have put Jackson on the line. Huge difference compared to possession, which allowed Westbrook to get that 3 off.
So I understand why they called the ball off Barnes but the 2 calls could have had majorly different outcomes depending on the team foul situation.
I just watched the end of the game this morning I don't have time for that Western conference, games ending well after midnight bullshyt.
Either way, I guess the refs did the best they could in that situation honestly. There was a foul call missed so they gave OKC the ball. Can't really put the blame on anybody. Just an amazing comeback. OKC made incredible plays. Only real fukk up was CP3 dribbling the ball off his foot at the end.
