Finishing up an internship on Friday and coulda stayed on but i have 1 more semester left gonna have to start applying for a new job in the interim period. I hope to God one of my previous internships takes me on full time by the time i graduate in December or else im gonna be skressed, word to Guwop

They hit me back up a year after jerking me around and asked if I was still interested. I was happy at my job but figured why the fukk not. They offer more pay, shytload less responsibility/prestige, but more importantly....

I can start pursuing my MA after 3 months of employment....for FREE.

I just graduated college. I did an internship just before my last 2 semesters of college and they wanted to keep me on but I had to tell em I gotta go back to finish my degree. They told me to keep in contact and especially when I get close to my graduation date. I emailed my supervisor like once a month to keep my name in her mind. Time came to graduate and I let her know via email and they flew me out to Cali, paid for my flight, rental car, and a hotel so I'm thinking I like my chances.

Unfortunately the lady that loved me and really was going to bat for me wasn't the one making the hiring decision and I found out when I was there that I was going up against a candidate who already worked for the company (had me like , they not just gonna fire dude to give me a job that'd look bad on their part). Flew back, didn't hear from em for like 2 weeks so I texted some of my coworkers while I interned there to see what was up. They hit me back after I applied that pressure on some "Hey, I know you've been waiting on our decision and I just want to start by saying you interviewed very well everyone here really enjoyed you and it was such a hard decision for us and we were so glad you were able to fly across the country with only 2 days notice, we just barely decided to go with the other candidate over you but it took us so long because we are trying to make it work and hopefully get you a temp position to come on full time"

I doubt that's gonna happen tho at least not in a time frame where I want to start a real job.

Also had some drinks with the president of this one company in town and we chopped it up, he told me to send him my resume and I did, got the interview. Somehow didn't get the job which wasn't even a job I was gunning for, just wanted something to sustain myself while I look for my real career. My friend works for the company and told me she heard about the situation and the people at work said I was too qualified I'm used to being told I'm under-qualified by now but OVERQUALIFIED? fukked up thing is my friend graduated with the same degree as me. Got me thinking this some discriminatory shyt

Been on the job grind for only a few weeks now and the shyt skressful. I know something will open up sooner or later but these employers gonna drive me nuts

I transferred out of my company's department into this one I now so my path maybe a little different than yours.

I have an IT background as well as Auditing sothat may have helped me.

Keep tryin. Use Indeed.com. See if you can get some contract work with a temp agency.Try health care companies too

I see. I may have to look into my company. I don't have any IT background experience. Right now i work as a Marketing Analyst so im looking to transition to become a Business analyst. I would think that my analytical skills will help me get my foot in the door, but so far haven't heard back from any company i've been applying to
