if you only knew how software can become so automated to the point where you wont need a lot of accountants to RUN THE NUMBERS. nor will you need finance people to RUN THE NUMBERS. the numbers will be self ran.

the better that these systems/software become with indentifying trends. eventually you wont need JP morgan finance guys telling you what to invest in. siri will do that for you. "HI!!! here is your Safe bet, Slow and steady, mild, fast money but high risk investment choices. As an elctrical engineer who has designed things like this and written code and have a few products in stores I can not say I didnt see it coming. Automatuion is what i've been specializing in since 96 when I started missing around with trynna automate my house ...

but again you will make robots that are considered to be "robot techs." thats right. robots that are techs. that have a steadier hand then most people. know the exact logic and reasons for almost every issue another robot may have. they could tap into the internet or the owners manual and figure out the issue in seconds where it would take a human hours. " this is coming to. and it is, what it is. early on people will need to build them and maintain them. after a while. there will be enough on deck they will be able to be self sustaining.

you will be able to feed robots all of the designs from history to the present. and let it run algorithms to figure out what are the best quality designs, or what are the cheapest designs at a certain price point. its a wrap folks.

dude, can you eat a job? this stuff is not complicated
we don't live because there is work, we do because of the product of work, it matters not who produces it.
the real issue will be psychological (this back and forth being a prime example), meaning how to reeducate the masses that a job is not an identity or a means of survival

I think what this article and others like it are saying isn't that these people won't be needed. It's saying that there won't be nearly enough of these positions to fill the jobs that will be lost to increasing automatization.

What it really does is give an excuse to bring back slavery. Jobless individuals will be working for horrible wages in horrible conditions building the most rudimentary of things.

Only cheap immigrant labor is afraid. Once they design robot app programmers, architects, nurses, research scientists, pharmacists, etc should most Americans be afraid. We are at least 200 years away before most high end labor will be replaced by technology. And really, if your job can be done by a drone, well, you should probably find a new career.
