Jared, and changing consumer tastes. Sandwiches aren't really it anymore. People are doing more of those "assembly line" food spots e.g. Chipotle, CAVA, Sweetgreen, Cosi etc.

I never hate at subway but to give my 2cents I think the quality of the bread is ass compared to other options

Which is ironic because Subway has a similar setup. It’s not some high end shyt but I suppose it’s solid if you high and just need to eat something.
I think it's just their offerings that people got tired of. Not to add that whole thing with Jared being pedo. Not a good look for them at all.
I also think they kinda lost their identity. At first they started off as the healthy alternative to McDs and BK. Then they tried to get into gourmet stuff with fancy meats and now idk even know what their angle is.
Yeah I agree, they kinda blazed the trail for those later spots to either overtake them on the gourmet food or on the conveyor belt style.
I’m not sure how they get that identity back unless they market themselves as a more affordable alternative to Cosi or Panera Bread. With as much money as they’ve got, they should be able to come up with something.

few times I end up eating at Subway I'll only get a wrap or salad and usually only chicken breast the rest of the stuff looks 
$5 footlong is not JUST five dollars...
Other restaurants took Subway's concept and make better tasting food. Subway was hot for a while but now there is no reason to eat there.

The quality is truly ass. Other Sub spots do sandwiches way better. shyt even Publix does subs better than them. Their ingredients look plastic and not real plus taste bland. Also overpriced.
