*secretly having a sidechick / sideguy / person on the bench does not constitute as an open relationship

As many of you know, we have several posters on thecoli (who will be tagged below) who are currently in open relationships. I myself noticed that significantly more people are more open to the idea nowadays and some people who call themselves 'poly-amorous' will only function in open relationships. In my city they damn near constitute as the majority of females in my age bracket. Where do you reside? Are you for/against it? What are your experiences with them?:jbhmm:

I actually thought about this throughout the year last year as I talked to more and more people in passing at bars and stuff (I dont really go out that much) that were in open relationships or had "friends" even though they had boyfriends.

Funny how on one end you had the gay's and lesbians fighting for the right to get married and then on the other end you have people determining that marriage is "old fashion" and doesn't work. :mjlol:

Bunch of confused children we are.

You are not in committals or a relationship if it is open.
You are just mating.
When real talk it is a bout mating first, anyway.
You have to be with a woman who satiates your libido and then,...
you can fill in the social interaction and match principals.
To one day create a committal based relationship with that woman.
The old days of courtship without full intercourse and intimacy is dead and it should have died.
When, condom use was wide spread marketed as birth control during the aids epidemic.
The only problem with this Gen is.
They are spoiled and feasting on gains made by previous generations in the male/female dating dialectic.
That they don't understand the concept of BC.
All because unprotected sex was made as a thrill seeking component in the birth control or else days of the aids epidemic.
So, now after a Gen removed who practiced safe sex.
You run into the same issues as previous gems who did not practice safe sex.
Plus, women and men do not understand virtue in this day and age.
So, slippery slope for fukkery is vast.

i think what's really surprising is the number of women not in relationships who don't mind stepping into this arrangement. it dawned on me just a few days ago after a few (old but new) encounters with women, talking with them and eventually speaking on their feelings. after that point they attempt to get what they want by offering themselves, as long as it won't bother my current relationship. it's just weird to see this as optional more and more nowadays. granted, my line of work put me in contact with a lot of "loose" women but i'd like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt upon my first meeting them. but i still don't understand it completely. like, i wouldn't want to fukk some other woman some guy messes with on the regular, even if i did find her attractive and want her.
