Because honestly vin IS the ff franchise. If vin goes into universal office tomorrow and says I want rock gone and I'm directing part 9 universal would do it. So it doesn't seem very smart to piss off the guy with the most control over the franchise.

Oh and saying the franchise was dead before rock joined is the 4th film was the highest grossing in the franchise (at that time) because vin and walker returned.

The 5th is still the best one though. The writer that came up with the idea to reboot it into a heist film is a genius.

With the exception of the third one where the whole cast was gone every single 1 made more than the last one. It's only natural 5 made more than 4 when the entire series has kept climbing with each film.
