I don’t know.

My thing with Kane is, he's not wack now. But he's been using that same ass cadence and flow for 30 years. No matter the beat. HAHA!

Kane and RZA are on both of GOAT lists, but they kinda bore the sh*t out of me today. I'm curious to see what RZA does on this project though.

I understand

Lmao! That’s very true. He’s stuck in that time frame of when that cadence worked for him

I think because I listen to Kane in doses, it doesn’t bother me too much but I definitely know what you mean.

RZA’s production for the last 2 decades is like a flat soda to me, it ain’t got no bite to it

Every once and while he may crank out a decent beat like that Nas joint Highly Favored from years ago, but far most part his beats for the last 2 decades have lacked that fire

In 2025, you'll twist to this as you raise your fist to the music.

True! Bro, this was 25+ years ago with Primo.

Same exact flow and cadence. LOL!!

And RZA's beats have been exactly like a flat soda, lol. He's Top 5, to me. So I always have hope, but I don’t know.

lol Kane is stuck in his 1970’s state of mine, he’s like the son of Fred Williamson with knowledge of self and 80’s cadence

A legend

But yeah he’s just a man of his time and era: the 80’s

As for RZA; I think he got stuck on trying to be a composer and it’s just cramped his whole style. His whole sound ain’t got no bite, fire or flare to it.

It’s like going from eating a beef or turkey burger to a veggie burger with no seasoning tho! Lol

I could think of other rappers I'd rather hear on RZA beats - Wu-Tang members first and foremost! But I believe thats RZA's first choice as well, some of them just don't want him in charge anymore, then Meth's too busy, GZA's semi-retired etc.

I'll take these Juice Crew, Awich, Coast Contra projects. I remember Flatbush Zombies saying they had a bunch of tracks with RZA too. Only a few ever came out though.

The couple of Flatbush Zombies joints I heard with RZA were fire tho I wish that album dropped

That Kane/Premo track has always been incredibly dope to me. Kane killed it. Crazy Premier beat as well.

I'd say this:

This was dope too.

Lyrically, Kane still had it. But the beat was kicking his ass. And it's one of his own, lol.

Sounded like he was having trouble finding the pocket on that one. I think with Kane, it's the flow that seems off these days. The rhymes are still solid though.
