What's best for the team is having Love for next 10 years to go along with whoever we draft. If we get Melo he'll be here for about 3/4 years then he retires and we are back to rebuilding. I rather sign a guy like Lowry this off season + the draft pick and get Love in 2015.What's best for the team is throwing 2 seasons in a row down the drain in order to pair Love up with a 37 year old Kobe?
IMO, what's best for the team then would be to try and trade Pau Gasol for Kevin Love on the trade deadline and pair Love and a healthy Kobe up for next season.
Kevin Love will not have this team as currently assembled winning many games either and we still would end up with a 5-6 pick in the upcoming draft

Kobe has no one to blame but himself and the Lakers' FO. Majority of Laker fans didn't like his contract. We knew it killed any chance we had to compete for a ring. I still don't think Kobe understands that.

Our best plan moving forward, is to continue the tank, get a top 5 pick, go after Love next year and when Kobe's contract is over we can add another max player.
