Yes, but you'll get paid significantly less in NC as opposed to NY. There are some people who were able to keep a high salary and move down South but a lot of times that's not the case.

Everyone that argues in a South vs North debate.

"Rent up North is blah blah blah expensive but you can buy a mansion in <insert Southern state> for $100k"

So I said they owned them, you said they didn't. Don't links don't back up your previous statements. 31 percent ownership is not nothing.

:laff: Your reading comprehension is significantly lacking. Dude it's 26% which is 5 percent lower than the city average and 18% lower than the National average of 44%

If that's okay to you :salute: but that is pathetic to me considering the amount of blacks in that city and the braggadocios attitude of most black New Yorkers when you guys own nothing. :manny:

But 9/10 even though blindly assuming they are correct. Let's say you were making 50K in Brooklyn as a teacher. If you moved to Chapel Hill, NC(very respectable area) you'd need a comparable income of $31,200..That's starting teacher salary in North Carolina on average.

In New York it's 46k.

Thats the thing though, cost of living IS an issue. Unless you are cool with renting and living in an apartment for the rest of your life :userious:

The cost of entry for a 3 BR place in NYC is like $350K. Rule of thumb is you cant buy a place for more than 3x your household income. Even in NYC 120K is lofty- and thats for both parents. Meanwhile you can move to NC and buy a house for 120K.

You ask whats in NC... whats in NYC???

IMO, overall NYC is a much more entertaining place than the part of NC I always go to (Rocky Mount), have you ever been there? If you have you'd know its a small country town and even older heads who like down south have admit its slow compared to the city life, by slow I mean the way of life is boring and NOT that the residents are slow. I only went to Raleigh Durham once and we didn't even get to go to the Triangle :shaq2:

I just like NYC better... plus you gotta have a car down there unless you live in Charlotte or something, where's in NYC a car is not necessary... living down there knowing how to drive is a must, its crazy as my parents don't even want to move to Charlotte because of a silly reason :snoop:

Living in South Florida :blessed: big mix of cultures, nice warm weather year round, and not to mention the beaches :win: far from being miserable here.

It's always funny when blacks take up the talking positions of white liberals. Look at that chart closely. Most of those so called red states that lack education are also some of the best places to live.

Idaho, Iowa, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Montana. Utah, South and North Dakota. All heavily :mjpls:. I could make that correlation if I wanted to.

Also look at all the majority of those states heavily educated. New Hampshere, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island, Washington, Minnesota. All
