Steam that shyt. I am buying all
I just read this forum to stay up to date on nothing that me or any of my friends will bother to talk about
They should try and get GTA, Fornite, COD and Battlefield to work on Steam OS as those are pretty big games to not have working out the box because of anti-cheat software being supported on Steam OS.
wish I gamed enough to even justify buying a systemI just read this forum to stay up to date on nothing that me or any of my friends will bother to talk about

The xbox PC is gonna bomb too, I don't get where the idea that people want PCs that remove what people love about PCs came from.I know PC fans want this to do good (shyt, I want it to do good, and for devs to begin supporting linux more, fukk a anti cheat). Unfortunately It‘s going to fail. Simple as that. It will do better than the steam machine from ten years ago for sure. But in the grand scheme of things. Microsoft, as much as people hate them, and Windows. I believe they’re going to slime Valve out (and ironically one of the reasons will be because of Windows, the os everyone claim they hate). I bet once the price is revealed for this (not saying a price is a concern). People’s hype is going to plummet. I wish people would keep it 100 about the specs right now though. I’m sure they will once they see the price.
Even if you can install windows, other storefronts etc on this. It won’t make a splash. People want it to succeed but won’t go out and buy it. Mad content creators acting like this shyt is going to be the console killswitch or something (they’re fronting for views, and to stay in peoples good graces). Not trying to sound negative. I just know it‘s going to be an uphill battle. This shyt will deadass have to start at $299 to $399 to do something. And that’s crack prices, and wouldn’t make any sense for them. But at the same time. Anything $599 up won’t be a competitive enough price imo.
Final predictions: $449 for the base & $549 for the 2tb which would be passable (as long as it comes with the controller)
The majority of their user base is also playing games that don’t run well or at all on Linux. So it’s gonna be a tale of two cities, if the steam deck oled 1Tb is $650 they gotta drop that down and put the steam machine at 699 for the 512GB.. & prolly 899 for the 2TB cause they’re making no money on the 512.Steam made their system base of the average specs of their users. This device will sell like hot cakes because majority of their user base use similar specs. They are smart.
The device can run windows so you can dual boot or don't even use Linux. This is the perfect device. I can see it being between 349 to 499.The majority of their user base is also playing games that don’t run well or at all on Linux. So it’s gonna be a tale of two cities, if the steam deck oled 1Tb is $650 they gotta drop that down and put the steam machine at 699 for the 512GB.. & prolly 899 for the 2TB cause they’re making no money on the 512.
Only way it’s selling like a console would sell is if they want to lose a lot of money on the 512 and Half Life 3 is launching. I doubt it’s even doing Steam Deck numbers but maybe they have some performance secrets.
Why? Because it's small? When the OS comes to other devices what will be the point of this?Steam that shyt. I am buying all
Yeah it's weird seeing the PC guys go to war. But there's a lot of pump faking with that crowd. They're always saying how they're rigs are running 4k/120fps but the steam survey says otherwise. It's going to be funny if this machine is under $700. Because then you'll have all the videos of people that swear they can build a better system at a cheaper priceSteam made their system base of the average specs of their users. This device will sell like hot cakes because majority of their user base use similar specs. They are smart.
