No diss. new york street rappers were live in the 90's, early 2000's, somewhat in the mid 2000's and when i think about it, Dipset is seriously the last group of rappers i remember dropping shyt, were relevant and had their own sound. Who's out now in this generation worth checking for? joey badass, maino, papoose :camby:

LOL @ this thread. No one ever talked about a Maino song and said it was hot. People do love Joey Badass and Pro Era a lot, though.

this. people underestimating them

that asap mob album is going to be :ahh: dudes arent even terrible rappers, its just their subject matter but they know how to craft catchy ass songs.

dudes took elements of the souths sound and added an atmospheric touch to it and ran with it to gain momentum and a fanbase and establish themselves and their brand but watch them fukk around and drop their own diplomatic immunity.. dudes aren't stupid, they know what they're doin, they playin the game and played into whats hot right now..shyt was a marketing scheme :lolbron:

like that mixtape right? pro era dropped a much better group effort than them, but as solo artists i think both rocky & ferg have dropped very good albums. french montana is relevant imo, action bronson has some bangers too. joey's joint is getting radio play now, nicki minaj is still very much relevant as well. and we can't forget sean carter.. so why all this talk about new york not doing anything?

that mixtape aint even that bad, it got a few bangers on there. but mixtapes aren't even supposed to be album quality lol just supposed to be a compilation of songs to give listeners a lil taste

but i feel you lol this "bring new york back" movement shyt is lame. shyt will be fine man lol

they're not terrible rappers at all, in fact i'd say rocky nast and twelvy are good rappers. ferg is the harmonizer but he can still flow too. when they get their formula down they'll run ny for a minute. and more than just rappers dudes are characters, exactly what ny rap needs. they were live as fukk in concert too :dj2:

ASAP is dope I don't know why people don't like em but....I mean just for arguments sake they arent fully New York from their style to their sound. Even in this photo they are hanging out in Los Angeles, wearing clothes you normally would see people wearing in Southern California.

That group album will be dope though, I am sure of it.
