This. How can you not like the lyrical creativity that comes with subliminals? Many times I'd rather them not say the name because sometimes it takes away from the song itself. For example 3pm in Calbassas is a dope song in of itself, it'd be ruined if he actually said Diddy or Joe Buddens names

I see a lot of people come in this thread talking about subliminals before the internet was popping. I bet some of you nikkas was 8 years old when the song came out and when you got older you heard rumors, read or watched an interview about a song. Subliminals wasn't popular in the late 80's or early to mid 90's. If you weren't from NY you wouldn't know what the subliiminal was because most of the shyt wasn't well known. So stop it with you revisionist history shyt.
