How the fukk is a movie a flop when we in a pandemic and most people not seeing movies in theaters

People are delusional and think that COVID is over.

We at the 3rd (or 4th?) wave that is now killing over 1k people per day. The last thing people are thinking, are watching movies in theaters like its 2018 again. "Black Widow" ain't did pre-COVID numbers, either.

Just shows how weak those movies were in the first place, and they tossed Smith in there to use "star power" to sell tickets.


People tend to like Will and keep giving him a pass for being very hit-or-miss with the projects he headlines. Meh.

Nah, watch it again. That movie's much more clever than it gets credit for. The test scene for example is brilliant

Villians sell tickets,who the hell wanted to see Suicide Squad fight a starfish?That really the best villain DC has to offer?
If you can't get people into the theatres first day, its going to be rough.
Remember the hype Mortal Kombat had after its trailers and people were hype to see it the day it was released?
Suicide Squad had no hype like that at all.
And if you can't generate that hype,people are going to end up online,looking at twitter,looking on forums and watching people talking about the movie.
I did that to get a gauge on if it was worth going to see,but now I kind of feel like I already saw it
They need to cut it out with this streaming war nonsense and allow me to just buy the damn movie whether I have HBO or not.
You probably missed out on my money trying to be "exclusive" for your HBO Max subscribers,who probably sharing their stream with 5 other people who don't wanna pay for HBO Max. Had you just had a stream available to everyone at midnight,you could have done much better.
But there is some sort of payoff involved in exclusivity obviously that I'm not getting,because it makes no sense on the outside looking in.

The Starfish wasnt advertised as a villain in the movie, you wouldn't even know that thing was in the movie unless you watched it. The movie did a great job as painting Waller and the US Government as the villains, which really goes at the heart of the suicide squad. You dont want a big name villain in the movie because then the heat is taken off Waller and the US.

It was a good movie that really was hurt because of pandemic situation.
