Durant situation is feeling a lot like kobe Bryant situation when he was ready to be traded by the Lakers. Nets want a deal that blows the league away. Durant wants a team that can compete now. No team that is competing has the "blow you away" package either because they just don't have the assets or the asset they do have can't be traded to the nets due to Ben Simmons being there. Durant wouldn't want to join a franchise who is pretty much gutted due to the trade that got him there. And just about none of these teams that are competing have the draft compensation. They can offer 1st rd picks but all those picks will be in the 20s.

Nets might have to settle for a deal they don't like.

If you really think about it, KD has put some semblance of thought into this move because the two teams at the top of his list are essentially the only two competing teams that actually have the 1st round picks to give. It also wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if there was some semblance of collusion going on between him and Phoenix because a lot of it seems too convenient.

Hey guys remember when some members of the street thought Murray was gonna convince Lavine to join the spurs

I don't know why people thought that he was ever going to consider turning down the supermax. Same with Beal.

Take the money and worry about the rest later especially as teams will give up the assets to get you if they really want your services.
