I think if you want to serve your country, then you should be allowed to do it unless you are mentally disabled. If you are trans an want to serve, then you should. However, they shouldn't push their views and etc on others.

There is a certain level of conformity that is needed when joining certain institutions like the military. Nobody cares about individual self expression when you’re trying to mentally break down a group of individuals and build them back up to become one unit. I wouldn’t necessarily be against this if there are studies that show that trans folks are a disruption to their units. If not, then this is much ado about nothing. But part of breaking down people is getting at their insecurities. So if you are going to be a cry baby about being referred to as your gender at birth, then maybe the military isn’t for you.
