The SWAC baseball championship has like 5 black players playing. Why did we stop playing baseball?

This is why "giving to HBCUs" don't mean shyt. Some of everybody goes to HBCUs, not just black folks.

It hurts that there's no Ken Griffey's or Barry Bonds' out there dominating the sport to get young black kids inspired to start playing the game either

We're not just gonna sit up here and act like there aren't blacks who are excelling at baseball.

Unless you're looking specifically for second generation MLB stars who are also generational talents....cause that's a wild constraint to put on it.

If you not putting 4k sq ft of Bermuda sod in your backyard, getting $7k inflatable batting cage, $10k Jugs machine, another 5k in training gear...for at least 10 hrs a week for your 6 yr old. Plus travel ball and showcases. FORGET ABOUT IT.

Major League has invested 100 of millions in baseball acadamies in DR alone. They provide housing as well. They train for baseball full time as minors. They dont have to worry about GPAs, ACT, SAT.

Why is it so hard for These people here to accept that nikkas don’t like baseball.
While there is some truth to this (and it is just some; you can go to many little leagues and find young black kids filling up the teams), even the kids who like baseball can’t afford the cost of travel and training to reach an elite level.

Travel baseball is one of the most expensive activities in youth sports, let alone private lessons. Basketball is trending in the same way.

The best athletes are not playing baseball.

There is not a barrier of cost as to why black people don’t play baseball. It’s interest
