yea past couple of years in the league has shown championship teams are going for proven commodities over unknown talent
and if you got all star players who you'll have to pay, you gotta make moves to be competitive...I used to be a "get high draft picks" guy and in the right situation...still am

I was saying when we hired AK that there are other ways to build a contender then sitting shooting the lottery crap shoot striking out until you hit gold. Garpax did that for far too long. For whatever reason some wanted us to hire a new regime to come in and do the same thing the old regime did only they were supposed to find the gold. Smh. It can happen but it's more unlikely to find that gold with 7th and 8th picks.We been dreaming of the bulls to make moves like this, these pieces plus zack and Coby should be nice, let’s not overthink shyt here

Don't care about the picks, the 8th this year is likely the worst draft compensation gets. We will likely be a legit playoff team and have the depth to withstand injuries now. Some picks outside the lottery do very little for us and hoping to land giannis or kawhi again at that range is just dumb. It's like telling people instead of moving on with their day to sit and wait for lightning to strike in the same place twice. You will be a waiting ass lol
Btw I read the pick we gave the spurs is top 10 protected and then top 8. So again just like AK secured us this year if this just not working we can go nuclear and still get our pick.

After Thibs left, neither Hoiberg or Boylen got the mix of guys they had to work. Hoiberg got a raw deal IMO. One thing that is refreshing is having a FO that is creative and keeping their ear to what's going on around the league. It's fair to say that in terms of making moves, the last regime only made mid-season trades to dump salary. shyt was boring as fukk
